Re: OS-6250/6450 LOOPBACK - POE

I don't think RFC2544 is possible with Omniswitches.

If you have a 6450-24P or 6250-24P it has PoE, the 6250-24 or 6450-24 (without P) don't support that. (All variants are shown in the datasheets)
You will need a "special" PoE powersupply for the "P" models.

Re: Swlog info

It is an "info" severity Log, so nothing you should worry about. I don't know there is any guide that explains every single log-line that can occur.

If you really need that ask the support.

Re: Two VLAN one trunk

Where is your trunk? What traffic should the pfSense regulate? Only to external? between vlan 10 and 20 as well? If you want to transport vlan 10 and 20 to pfSense on port 1/1: vlan 10 802.1q 1/1 vlan 20 802.1q 1/1 In this case you should not configure IPs on the switch (it would happily route betwe...

Re: Uplink Port Speed

OS6450-24/48 are 1G by default
OS6450-24X and OS6450-48X are 10G by default

For having 10G at a 6450-24 (no X) you need the license

Re: Monitoring Port CRC errors on 6900

I don't think so.. normally a CRC Error should not happen at all. It's a sign for faulty cable/connector/ mixing of single mode and multimode cables/faulty transceiver. Clear counters and have a look once a week and figure out by hand or use scripting in Omnivista: (german only regarding JavaScript ...

Re: Uplink Port Speed

Normally a 10G SFP should only be able to support 10G - not 1G.
Where did you see that? (show output)
what transceivers do you use?

Re: SNMP: RECEIVING OID INFORMATION FROM SWITCH

Snmp security privacy all is the default = only snmpv3 possible With SNMPv2 you need to lower that bar to "snmp security authentication set" (SNMPv1/2 only read only allowed) "snmp security no security " (SNMP v1/2 write allowed as well) For getting snmp data snmpv3 is the easiest way as you only ne...
