Hi,
what software is running in the affected switches? Are you using Backup Powersupplies? Is it possible to bring back single ports by using lanpowr start 1/1 or do you have to reinitiliaze the whole PoE-Module?

maybe it is possible to boot from working directory. please check folowing:

[Miniboot]->setNextRunningVersion 2
value = 1 = 0x1
[Miniboot]->reboot

These commands are for OS6250, but maybe they are the same for OS6850.

we have 11 OS6900 VCs running, VF links are using 40G Ports on OS-HNI-U6 or OS-QNI-U3. The switches were setting up about 18 months ago and we have no problems with the VFs. We are using DACs with a length up to 5m.

damn, that are bad news! The reboot does not fix the problem, so I will go on and open a case at ALu.
Were always the same ports affected or is distributed over the whole switch?
So I have to test every single port before installing the new switches...thats boring!
