Re: Could Nokia sniff LLDP packet?

Hi, No, the filter and the mirror and two different tools. The MAC filter can be applied to a sevice sap, such as an epipe or VPLS etc. Don;t think you can apply this directly to a port unfortunately though. So not sure what your network looks like, you may need to use the mirror to capture the pack...

Re: Could Nokia sniff LLDP packet?

NB - the default-action of filters is always drop, so either change this to forward (see below), or create a catch all entry too, otherwise traffic will stop on any interface you apply this too.

config filter mac-filter 500
default-action forward

Re: Could Nokia sniff LLDP packet?

Hi, Further to mivens response above, you could create the mac-filter but also log the matching packets to a file or to memory. The below will just be 500 entries in memory. Try this: configure filter log 150 create destination memory 500 exit mac-filter 500 create entry 10 create match frame-type e...

Re: NTP NTP server has changed: Old server 10.0.0.2, New server 10.0.0.1

Hi, Is your network stable, is NTP server other side of a firewall? Have seen similar where packets are going through a firewall and the sessions are timing out etc. If this happens often, stick a constant ping on to NTP server to verify reachability of IP. IF all stable and still you get changes, n...

Re: SAM DOWNLOAD

Hey Mario,

I don't think so, as the server will not actually start without a valid license keyfile which you would need to get from Nokia.

Though it would be good if they offered this option to get more people using SAM, as it is a very powerful and well built tool.

Cheers

Re: MINOR: LAGMGR #1015 - Autonegotiate must be Off or Limited for 1/1/4

Hi, This is to avoid a port going to half duplex etc or to a different speed when part of a lag group - as all ports must be the same speed etc. So you must indeed for a 10/100/1000 type port set the autoneg to either off or limited (where it is only allowed to autoneg at certain speed/duplex etc). ...

Re: AS-Override in MPLS L3VPN can't ping

Hi,

But at the far end, ie at the device with 10.12.75.254, does it have a valid route back to 10.202.124.85?

Can you try a traceroute and see how far it gets also.

Re: Cisco ISIS Neighbor Init State

HI,

it's also worth sharing the configs you have at each end along with info on the interfaces. Although ISIS is not an IP protocol, is ping successful between the interfaces?

Have you set the NET on the Cisco, as it won't even start ISIS until it has this.

Cheers

Re: Redistribute In 7750 - problem

Hi, This is more of a design than a problem as such :-) But yes, you will need policy. Have you tried any form of policy as yet? Some key aspects: configure router policy-options begin policy-statement xxx-yyy create entry 10 create from protocol xxx to protocol yyy action accept etc etc then under ...
