OXOs DSP chip type TMS320C6421 is unable to multiplex G.722. The system will negotiate always down to G.711 for conferences, barge-in, Music on hold or when a TDM phone is involved in the conversation.

G722 only works for IP phones (80X8 or 80X8S, and SIP-Phones). rtp_direct must be enabled in your SIP gateway media configuration and has to be configured in subscriber IP/SIP for voice coding/decoding.

I would play with PRACK and P-EARLY-MEDIA settings of the Patton box or would use a recent OXO software and let OXO speak SIP directly with Broadworks

Okay, thank you clarifying this. In this case OXO is more flexible. Just flipping SIPOgDspNm switch to "false" and you're done..
