Re: OmniPCX appears to have crashed - Urgent help needed
Hallo Maulwurf, Thanks for your response. I have now resolved the issue so 'Urgent help needed' is no longer 'needed'. Re 'training', as the company have a) laid off all of the IT people and b) have already replaced what was the main communication platform i.e the AL with a VoIP switch, they are unl...

Re: OmniPCX appears to have crashed - Urgent help needed
Hi Maulwurf, We normally connect a standalone pc running the pm5 software. According to documentation that I have found, a pc/pm5 should be connected to this 'Config' port but when I looked, there is no connection here so I am a little bemused as to how/where the pc is actually connected to. It was ...

Re: OmniPCX appears to have crashed - Urgent help needed
Hallo Maulwurf, Thank you for your input, I have taken another look at the units and you may be correct as at the front, on the left hand side it only mentions 'OmniPCX' but at the rear I see 'Alcatel OmniPCX Office', but there is still no mention of a serial RJ45. If you take a look at the '.....10...

Re: OmniPCX appears to have crashed - Urgent help needed
Hallo Haroun, Yes, there are two units in a 19" chassis. There is no lanx board and contrary to what I have read, I am unable to find this serial port, there isn't one on the front nor the rear. The modules that are installed are as follows: What appears to be the main unit, upper modules from ...

Hallo Haroun,
Thanks for responding and to answer you, it is two magazines, one with 6 'slots', the other with 3 and all looks 'normal', cpu lamps on all modules are green and flashing at different intervals.
Oskar.

Re: OmniPCX appears to have crashed - Urgent help needed
Hallo cavagnaro Unfortunately the IT team that used to manage the system are no longer employed and I have little knowlwdge when it comes to Alcatel. Two other disadvanatges are, from what I understand, is that they system is 10+ years old and there is no such beast as 'a professional on site' :-( A...

Hallo forum, Yesterday, during a bank holiday so activity on the network etc, our omnipcx appears to have crashed. Re: Additional 'Collective Speed Dial's'
Hallo Krusty65,
Fantastic, it's so easy when you know how. It did make sense and I have now successfully added the new 6xx range of speed dials.
I was very close to configuring 100 virtual terminals with a divert but this has saved me a lot of work.
Thank you so much for responding,
Oskar.

Additional 'Collective Speed Dial's'
Hallo everyone, I have recently taken over the managemtn of an Alcatel OmniPCX Office and am looking at adding an addition set of 'Collective Speed Dials' numbers. We currently have a range of 3xxx but would like to add 6xx. Looking in to the 'Numbering Plans', I have reconfigured / deleted / reconf...
