Re: Lanpower problems on 6350

Agreed. I’ve been running an ever growing A-L park since 2015. We now have at this site around 50 boxes from 6350-10 to 6900-T40. Only a few of them are non-PoE. And I’ve had zero failure so far. Also, most of them are in industrial environment, a fairly clean environment but with no temperature/hum...

Re: Block/drop/ignore SNMP requests from IP

Hi Silvio, Sorry I haven't received a notification about your reply. Yes that would probably work, but would drop every SNMP packet coming in through the port, right? It happens that they host a printer server from a service provider monitoring our printers through SNMP so I can't drop everything. I...

Block/drop/ignore SNMP requests from IP

Hello all, On an OS6900-T40, is it possible to block/drop/ignore SNMP requests from a known address on a certain port? At our central adm there seems to be a scanner shooting SNMP requests with default credentials (public). As I don't have public community available, the switch generates an authenti...

Re: Lanpower problems on 6350

Hello, Ok, this is what I experienced too. In my case applying new firmware **seems to** have solved the problem. I can't tell 100% because there were situations where the switch resumed working even before the upgrade. In your case, if even after all you did the problem wasn't solved, I would consi...

Re: Lanpower problems on 6350

Hello Mohammad, The POE SW version comes updated with uboot-miniboot or FPGA (not sure which), there is no separate file for it. On my firmware files the versions for uboot-miniboot and FPGA are both OS6350_6.7.2_R05, which look newer than yours. Check your versions with "show microcode" and "show n...

Re: OS6900 Troubleshooting

Hi! After almost one week (6 days 11 hours now) I have zero PMDs in the switch. So I think this can already be considered a win. I still wonder what caused the problem and the reboot on chassis 1, but ok the satisfaction of seeing it working well is greater than the need for knowing the cause. There...

Re: OS6900 Troubleshooting

EDITED: Forget it, already erased the mislocated certified folder. Something else: in the mess that is (was) this 6900 filesystem I found a "certified" folder containing old image and configuration files inside /flash/app-signature. This was not supposed to be there, right? Probably some "expert" ac...

Re: OS6900 Troubleshooting

Hi Silvio, Checking the logs for the reason was useless because logs were getting quickly filled by info messages like failed authentication attemps and supposed DoS attacks. I'm not yet 100% sure where those are coming from, but I suppose from some NMS running in our central administration trying t...
