OV 2500 error message on 6800 switch

On one of my 6800 switches - in OV, the error "Failed (BMF)" shows up in the Last Upgrade Status field.
The switch is running fine and the lastest code upgrade seems to show the right microcode 6.1.3 907 R1

any idea on how to get rid of this error?

BMF can't be 6.1.3.907.R01 - this was never a valid Miniboot/Bootrom for OS6800. Please telnet to the 6800 and post the output of "show hardware info" for verification.

backup miniboot mismatch?

You should upgrade the Backup Miniboot to the same version as the others. Then upgrade to the latest AOS 6.3.1.R01. Which version of OV do you run?

btw, I couldn't find anything on the alcatel support site for upgrading the miniboot? I looked in the hardware, switch, PDF's but no luck.
where would I find the instructions.

started to upgrade last weekend. I plan to use OV to do the rest.

Well - you need to download the Upgrade-Procedures. Especially with the 6800 you need to be quite careful during the upgrade.

Login to the BPWS and go to: https://service.esd.alcatel-lucent.com/ ... witch_6800

There you will find the downloads for the upgrade procedures e.g. "OS 6800 6.3.1.R01 Upgrade Instructions"

Please note the different versions of upgrade instructions for the various products.
