M3 chassis --> VH + Common chassis

Post by jp2009 »

Hi Experts,

We wanted to ship a Alcatel Hotel PBX in M3 chassis from Australia to Vietnam. But it is just too big and heavy, would it possible to split it into 2x VH and multiple 9-slot Large Common chassis

Hardware:
MI (M3)Chassis
ACT28
48VDC 20A Power Supply
1x CPU6-2 + IO2N Enterprise R6.1
4x eZ32
4x eUA32
2x NPRAE
1x NDDI2
2x GPA2
1x VPU5

to:
Rack1 VH
----------
CPU6-2
IO2N
VPU5
INT-IP2

Rack2 EXPANSION VH
----------------
2X INT-IP2
2X GPA2

Rack3 9 Slot Large Common chassis
GD-2
4x UAI16-1
2x SLI16-1
1x APA4

RACk4 9 slot Large Common chassis
GD-2
4x UAI16-1
2x SLI16-1
1x PRA-T2

RACK5 9 slot Large Common Chassis
GD-2
4x SLI16-1
3X PRA-T2

Thanks in advance.

VH hardware is not supported for a very long time. IO2 never been compatible with VH hardware. I think IO2N is also non-compatible with VH.
Looks like it is cheaper to ship a whole M3 cabinet because you could run on a lot of problems trying to migrate it in VH+CH configuration.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Thanks for info. I can ship wm1 instead vh. We want ship using UPS/fedex, to keep each under 50kg. Also we have number of sli16-1 modules, ez32 are fairly expensive and hard to find.
