I have a rather simple question.
I have a working hunt group with two members.
How can I make the name of the hunt group available via the directory, so users can find it.
Do I have to create a speed dial or Phonebook entry?
Unfortunately it isn't.
At first it had the same name as one of the members but I changed it to be sure there are no conflicts. But still I can't name dial it.
I'm on OXE.
OK, I've just checked with my test system, I have the same. If you manually create a phone book entry it works. Just create the number in the phone book with alias 0 and it should work.
Creating a phone book entry with alias 0 did in fact work, thank you.
Is it possible to have a tandem set as a hunt group member?
When I try to add a number that has a DECT set assigned, I get an error: "Tandem forbidden in parallel PCX".
Does "parallel" refer to the "circular search type" of the hunt group?
parallel HG - all set rings simultaneously. In such TG forbidden to use multi-line sets. Set with DECT in tandem - multi-line.
If you need functional as parallel HG but with multi-line set - use MLA or set supervision instead of HG (route call to one set - for another sets program set supervision).
So here is my situation:
I have this tandem set and I have a bell installed in a production area which is connected to an analog port.
The problem is that employees don't hear the telephone ring, therefor the (louder) bell on the wall.
My plan was to set up a parallel hunt group, so both the bell and the phone (and the tandem dect set) ring.
Unfortunately an analog port cannot supervise anything and if I do it the other way round, users would have to pick the call by pushing a button and can't just pick up the handset.
For some users that might already be too confusing.
Is there any way to get this working? Maybe there is a way using supervision that I'm just not aware of. If not that's also ok.
What does MLA mean?
