OXE - pushing all traffic over ISDN

Post by pvucemillo »

Hi Guys,

Wondering if you can help me or at least point me in the right direction.
Here's the backstory: Most of our sites have increased in size by a considerable amount and the network I've inherited has no qos or vlans configured at all.

As such we're starting to have a few issues with internal calls interbranch as the links are just too congested to provide reliable quality.
Now I know you'll say well why don't you just implement some qos and vlans then? not that simple unfortunately.

What my boss wants me to do now is force the interbranch traffic out via the isdn onramps that we have at each site.

Sounds like an interesting solution to me except I've had some adhoc training on oxes and been managing this one for the last 3 and a bit years but never had to do anything like this. Where do I go and what are the gotchas if we implement something like this?

I had a quick poke around but couldn't really see anything in the places I expected that jumped out at me.

Cheers and thanks in advance,

Pete

it has been a long of time since your post. have you solved the problem?
any way why dont you use speed dialing? it is easy to configure and works in most cases.
