interconnecting oxe and avaya with sip device

Post by kapil_elvis »

Hi

I am trying to interconnect avaya and oxe
avaya person creates sip device ( user id, user name, ip, password) in his pbx and told me to interconnect with sip.
When I insert these parameters in my 3cx softphone , it connected
Is it possible to connect both system by these parameters

No
SIP device - this is user

For OXE/Avaya interconnection - you need to create SIP TG, external SIP Gateway. Manage dialing (via ARS or network prefixes).

I think you need to reed OXE system doc (System doc/ IP-PCX Networking/ SIP/ SIP trunking). You will find description, examples.

One SIP user and inter PBX connection not the same.

One SIP device (softphone f.e.) - you can dial from Avaya just one number. But I think you want to dial all numbers in OXE?
So you need not users connection (management) but trunk to trunk connections. Just read system doc.

Avaya is a PBX, Grandstream is a end user device (phone).
OXE is a PBX.

If you connect your avaya and any other PBX, you will need a sip trunk, as vad explained.
The how to is available in the system documentation

interconnecting two pabx by different type of TRUNKS
IA :interAuto

PCM semi digital access
BRA : basic acces fro isdn
PRA Lrge band FOR isdn services

sip (on vogue lol)

analog can be used but very low level of service and huge harware feed (one equip by line).
