OmniPCX office and calling from a laptop

Maybe this is the most stupid question ever, but our Alcatel supplier is not capable of answering this question and i can not find a 1000% correct answer anywhere else.

The question is simple:
What do i need to make a call from my laptop with my build -in speaker and microphone?

We have an OmniPCX office, 5 Ip-phones, public ip-adres attached to our omnipcx and i have Pimphony installed on my laptop.
But pimphony is bound to a local (fysical) phone so when i make a cal from pimphony this real fysical phone starts calling and that is not what i want.

Install PIMPhony as a multimedia set then there is no link to a 'fixed' phone. I have this and can VPN in and make phone calls to where ever from my laptop using the OxO.

No,
you must create a Virtual Terminal on OMC Subscriber List, and chage the terminal to PC MULTIMEDIA.

On your Laptop, go to Start, Programs, and look for PIMPHONY CONFIGURATION.
Reconfigure the PIMPHONY as PCMULTIMEDIA and put the extension number you have assigned for the PC MULTIMEDIA on OMC.
The initial password will be 1515.

Just a question: do you have CoCPU or VoIP daughter board to use VoIP ?

Strange, i can only select a fixed line inside the PIMPHONY config wizzard. There is no option to select multimedia or anything else. Maybe i have the wrong version?

Does anyone know the productnumber for this PC Multimedia Licence? Our suplier can not find the product and doesn't understand what i want. He offered us the PIMphony Pro licences, but i think that is not what we need.

Hmz, sorry that i do not understand it all.

So i need a license for Pimphony IP, that is NOT Pimphony Pro, is it?

If i buy Pimphony IP, how do i install that license on the alcatel? Because the PBX reports we have 0 PC multimedia licenses.

Please understand that we are in a stupid situation, our supplier does not know what we want and we don't know what we need.....

In the licenses of your PCX you can see Pimphony IP licenses. You need to create an IP user with PC station option. Then when you make the Pimphony start-up choose this station and default password (change password afterwards) ---> you'll be able to use your PC to call using Pimphony (note: you need also a VoIP daughter board).
