License for OXE 12.1 :D

Post by cavagnaro »

Noob here
I am going to install an OXE R12 for tests here at home...question...FlexLM is mandatory now for eSX, right? No way to have old licensing model? A file I can renew?
Or better stay with an oldy R9?

no i think not, if you install it the normal way as appliance it should work... if you go the official virtualisation way you will need flexLM

Will try ESX. Easier for me.
But the pc installer just won't run by nothing, gets stuck at the Alcatel Logo...

hmmm... haven’t any problems with pc installer. i‘m still using it with my good old winxp installation from another virtual machine...
intallation on esx shouldn’t be a problem, since you can go along with the official alcatel docs.
good luck :)

PC Installer on Win10 is unpredictable, won't work most times especially version 5 which is the one supplied with 12.1. I have a VM running Win7 for PC Installer and it always works

Hi guys,
Well I was able to run it, but in both R11 and R12 I have an error after the linux part was installed. Just says that there was an error installing it. But the linux part is installed, what it complains later is that no delivery has been installed...
Any one has faced that before?

I'm assuming you did select Blade Server for the CS type. You should be able to find a doc on the BPWS detailing the procedure for installing OXE on ESXi. I have done it several times so let me know if you need the doc.
Also make sure that when you unpack the software downloaded from the BPWS that you don't end up with double folders, otherwise PC instal won't be able to find the software.
