Onnet calls failing

Post by melozurdo »

Hi,

I have a question regarding 4 digit calls (onnet).
One of my site customer recently migrated from Alcatel to Cisco and now 4 digit calls from Alcatel sites cannot call this new Cisco site.
They can do onnet calls to the existing Cisco sites but not to the new one. I checked ARS and I don´t see an specific rule for doing onnet calls.
Can any of you shed some lights to me? Thanks.

Can you give us some information - PBX type, previous connection (ABC-F, H323, SIP), some trace (t3, SIP)...?

-PBX type: Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise. R11.0-k1.400-30-f-us-c80s1.
CPU type : CPU80s1

- Connection ABC-F

- Trace call from Alcatel to the new Cisco site. User gets "out of service" message.

Ok - in previous you use ABC-F connection.
Now you use usual H323 TG (Q931 signal variant - ISDN all countries) and call via Speed dial (not used network|routing prefixes from previous ABC-F connection)?

Yes, that´s it.

Before the migration, this site was reachable from other sites using Alcatel just dialing the last 4 digits of the whole number. Now, this site is converted to Cisco and the remaining site using Alcatel, can´t 4 digit dial to that site, even having the same DID range. The thing is some Alcatel sites can make 4 digit calls to others Cisco sites but not to the new one.

About speed dial...not really sure. The 4digit DID range at the new Cisco site is 63xx that was the same when this site was Alcatel. I looked at "translator" -> "numbering plan" -> number start with 63 and I found something like this (just one example of the all the numbers found):

Number: 6354
Prefix meaning: Network No.
Domain identifier: 0
Network number: 1
Node number/ABC-F Trunk Group: 5
Number with subaddress (ISDN): No
Type: Station
Identifier: 74

The same info for the rest of numbers found...exactly the same except for 6305 and 6306 that shows:

Preafix meaning: VPN overflow
Information: 105
Domain identifier: 0
VPN type: Distant (List route No.)

But if I look for another cisco DID range that can be reachable from Alcatel dialing 4 digit, 51xx for instace, I found this:

Number:51
Prefix meaning: Routing No.
Domain Identifier: 0
Network number: 0
Node number/ABC-F Trunk Group: 5
Number of digits: 4
Number with subaddress (ISDN): No
Default X25 ID.pref: NO

Thanks so much for your help...very much appreciated.
