Verint IP Voice Logger connected to Thales MSM

Post by ccube »

Hi,

I've managed to record IP calls on Secured/Encrypted network using Thales but the recorded conversation is garbled. I followed the procedure on viewtopic.php?f=138&t=20872 which was very helpful. I've also tried recording the conversation when the IP Touch Security is bypassed and the recorded conversation is clear. Please help.

Hello,

Verint Voice logger is not known for me. If you use a voice recording system for an OXE you have to create a license for it.
It means you have to calculate a license file with ACTIS. In this case this is a 3rd party voice recording application.
The license key: 130 CSTA voice recording type =2
There is another important part of the configuration under Application/CSTA/End of recording on end of call = YES/No

End of recording on end of call
YES : if the stop recording request is received during conversation, the
recording is stopped only at the end of the call.
NO : the recording is stopped immediately at the request.

Hi Aquarius,

The OXE already has the license for "Other voice logger" which is type 2 and CSTA. The IP Voice Logger can capture and record the voice call but the recording is garbled. Any advise is highly appreciated.

Hi Aquarius,

It means that you cannot understand the recorded conversation. It's not "white noise" (i.e. hiss sound). The recorded conversation has the same spectrum as that of clear recording but somehow, it is not audible. When I deactivate the encryption (bypass), the recorded conversation is fine. It's just when the encryption is enabled that the recorded conversation is garbled. Please help.

For me it looks like a problem with the configuration on the Thales MSM and OXE encryption.

Hello,

I agree. it could be a problem with the encryption.
My question: did you follow the instructions related to Encryption settings (lanpbx file generation, check the Thalex box with "info" command, etc...)?

According to your reply the configuration is right.
Try to remove and put back the INTIP boards into their slots.
Then wait for booting is done.
This trick helped me to solve the "garbled" voice related to crystal hardware.
