Our organization recently added IP Touch 4018 phones and are having issues with them. What we are experiencing is that only the 4018 phones (4028's work fine) are getting stuck on an "Alcatel Lucent" screen when they are turned on. We have spent a considerable amount time troubleshooting and feel that this is caused by something in our network. We initially though the phone were looking for a DHCP address on the network before look at the phone server; however, it now appears that any abnormality on our network (i.e. bad NIC) is causing these phone to reboot and get stuck on the "Alcatel Lucent" message. We currently have HP switch and have a dedicated VLAN for phone and our data network; however, the ports that are tagged for both phone and data network VLANs (and use the PC port on the phone) appear to have the most issues.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
