OS9702E | two ip interfaces - problems at the reply (source)

Post by 3rdm4r »

Hey Folks!

i had a little problem with a L3 multilayer switch (Alcatel-Lucent OS9616/OS9716-CFM2 6.4.4.645.R01).
Principle, the device has two IP-interfaces (one mgnt, e.g. 192.168.10.2 "VLAN10" and on interface to a firewall, e.g. 10.10.100.42 "VLAN100").

There is a response from a outer server trough the firewall to the mgnt-interface 192.168.10.2 (e.g. SNMP/UDP 161) - the switch
(whose default-route shows to the firewall interfaces opposite 10.10.100.44) reply the response with his fw-interface address (10.10.100.42) as source,
not with the mgnt-address (192.168.10.2) - the server reject the reply.

It is possible to take influence on the choice which interfaces should be taken?
I`ve try this with "ip static-route follows..." without a success.

Many thanks in advance!!
Best regards! Martin

you can change the source-if for snmp:
ip managed-interface VLAN10 application snmp
