OS7800 High CPU

Post by dcwilliams »

I have a OS7800 running at 100% CPU Utilization when you do the show health command. The switch is running and no users are complaining. I have done some debugs, looked at spanning tree, and looked at each module but I have not been able to find out what is causing the high CPU. does anyone have any advise on this?

hello

try this

Commands to run in dshell via console access
->kTraceFlags=1 [start]
->kTraceEnable [Enable]
->kTraceTSSnum=200 [increase the default sample interval from 40 to 200]
->kTraceTaskSwitchShow [dump the buffer to show the task taking up the resource]

Cedric,

I find it very risky to give "Enable" commands without any "Disable" commands. Using the dshell can cause a lot of trouble in the network, unless you know exactly what you are doing.

A simple "spy" would have done it as well.

So now you know what I mean ... ;)

The command to stop the output of "spy" is:
Working: [Kernel]->spyStop
