Usertable Sync in a stack

Post by Gleylancer »

I'm trying to set new admin passwords to a number of 6602 stacks. The problem is that only the master in the stack takes the new password, even after copy working certified flash-synchro. All other switches stay with the old one.

Is it possible to do this?

users are stored in usertable (not boot.cfg). Usertable you will find in /flash/network. Maybe this wasn't synchroniced between the stack members. At R6-switches there isn't no need of doing it by yourself. Maybe at the old R5-switches this was not copied automaticly.

So you can try to copy the usertable between the switches by commando. I'm not sure if the following commands works at the old switches (copy files from remote #2 to local switch) :

> rcp 2:/flash/network/usertable* /flash/network
