Socket - Slice Explanation

Hi, Somebody can explain to me what does socket and slice mean with networking alcatel switches? Is for a troubleshooting issue.

ACL/QOS policies occupy "slices" based upon their complexity. If you specify many complex policies, you'll have less total policies than specified in the documentation as you have no "slices" left.
You can see "slices" as chip/hw resources, which are obviously not endless.

More details can be seen with "show qos slices".
If you want to find help, it would be useful to post the issue you're troubleshooting.
