No Console Output but web GUI works.

I have a unit that the console appears to not be working (No output) I have tried different baud rates with no luck, and the cable that I am using works on other units just fine.
The strange thing is I can log into the unit through the web GUI.

Anyone have any idea on this one?

Try it with an other laptop. And (if possible) make a reboot of the switch....
very unlikele that this there is a hardware defect at the serial.

I have tried to get any sort of console output on two different system and I still get no output. I have heard that this issue could be caused by a flash upgrade that had failed.

have you telnet/ssh access? you can check the bootparameter?

in /flash you find a file bootparams. You can delete this file and reboot the switch.

If this isn't successfull than you can try to recover filesystem. there are some posts like to do via USB or serial.
