SFP-10G-SR Not Being recognised by OS6850E

Post by Iand »

I have an OS6850E Rev 6.4.5.402 RO2 that I have installed two SFP-10G-SR Gbics in ports 1/1 and 1/2, when I do a show interface 1/1 or 1/2 they show as unknown and do not work, however a show ni states they are up and operational, any suggesstions as to why they are not working.

Thanks
Regards Ian

A 6850E-48 will not support 10G, a 6850E-48X will (but only in 49/50)
So you can not use a 10G SFP+ in a Combo/gigabit only port (1/1-4).
