Hi,
I am trying to connect an Access Port with a Nexus 5K switch, but the interface is being disabled by sip with error "BPDU guard".
Has anyone tried to connect a 6850 with a Nexus switch which may guide me what is the problem?

Connecting 6850 to Nexus switch
Re: Connecting 6850 to Nexus switch
BPDU Guard means, that Cisco disables the port because it received a BPDU and it is configured to block that port.
Even an Access/native vlan Port will send out BPDUs.
Only chance is: remove bpdu guard or disable STP on the Port of the ALU (make sure to never create a second link in the same vlan to the cisco network, as a loop will not be detected)

Re: Connecting 6850 to Nexus switch
hi devnull .... issue sorted by disabling STP for that particular VLAN. From the trace it was noted that once port is connected, 6850 sends an STP packet towards Nexus, which in turn will shut the port.
For reference to others, command use to disable STP was:

vlan 123 stp disable
Re: Connecting 6850 to Nexus switch
With this command you disable STP for the complete vlan 123.
Are you sure this is the best solution?
I would disable it only for this port:
bridge 1/23 disable
bridge cist 1/23 disable
running 1x1:
bridge 123 1/23 disable
