According to Alcatels OS6850 product description, this family of switches support 802.1AB LLDP (and even LLDP-MED). I can't seem to find any information about how to configure/use/enable this functionality in CLI Reference Guide.

We've got some 6850-24X and 6850-48 switches in our network that otherwise consists mostly of HP Procurves. Firmware of the 24X models are 6.1.3.719.R01 GA

The HP's all have LLDP working, but the Alcatels don't show up in the list of "neighbour-switches".

I would be most greatful for any info on this subject.

LLDP is running from 6.3.1 - you must do an update. Commands you find in Techn. Tip 2782 and in the guides for release 6.3.1
