Hi,
I have an alcatel os6400-p48 switch and on boot it only goes as far as MiniBoot. I then try and do the following:
You can format the flash from the "miniboot" with the following command
-> diskInit "/flash"
It comes up with an error and so doesn't recognize the /flash directory.
Is there anyway, other than raising a call with Alcatel to try and resolve this? I have new image files from our distributor.
Any advice would be welcomed.
Thanks
Jo
Quick Query Re: 6400-p48
Re: Quick Query Re: 6400-p48
best way is to use usb-stick (your switch needs miniboot at least 6.4.3). create at the stick a directory /6400/certified with all the img-files.
you should test the stick before it with an working switch - use the AOS commands:
> usb enable
> ls /uflash
you can also make copy to/from stick
> cp /flash/working/* /uflash/certified
If your stick is working fine, than you can use it for usb-recovery. If there are image-files are missing in certified the switch will stop in miniboot. If a stick is attached the switch will mount the stick and copy the certified-directory to the flash.
is the best way to rescue a crashed filesystem...
