OS6200 Reports FATAL ERROR

Post by nikolami »

Hi,

Does anyone have experience with following OS6200 issue:

OS6200 stops to work regularly, it starts to boot up, but after decompressing image it reports FATAL ERROR.
After that, SW shows some hex numbers and restart. This situation repeats constantly.

I interrupt boot sequence and tried to upgrade bootrom and image to the latest versions (via XModem). Image upgrade was successful, but not a bootrom upgrade. After transfering bootrom.bin switch reports following:

----------Download complete --------------
Wrong file format. Writing aborted.
Perform WARM BOOT ...

I think that problem is a corrupted bootrom, which is unfortunatelly very old version (1.0.0.09) and doesn't support option Erase Flash Sectors.

I appriciate any advice?
Switch is old and out of warranty or support, so sending to manufacturer won't be acceptible (from economic perspective).

Thanks in advance,
