connect and enable stacking in two ominiStack LS 6248p

hello there
It's my first project with Alcatel devices.
I need to connect and configure two ominiStack LS 6248p as stack
i read the manual carefully, and I found :

1.I cann't write the commands related to stack in my CLI
2.I linked the "UP" and "DOWN" as loop and nothing happend "the stack led didn't turned to greed"

please respond me as soon as possible

Hi,
to set the stacknumber you must at the start of the boot (shortly after power on) press the button (right of the front) and hold. Then you will seen that port LED 1 go on, then LED 2, then LED 3....after LED 8, shortly all LEDs are dark, then LED 1 again.... For stack number 1 you must let go the button during LED 1 etc, for a standalone switch let go during all LEDs are dark.
