Netcomm USB56K USB Modem XRA dialling issue Model AM5067

Post by swinstu »

Hi,

Has anyone been able to get a 56K USB modem working from a Win7 64 bit laptop. Model is AM5067. See attached userguide for list of commands.
I try an establish a a XRA connection to customer site with common hardware GD3 at the remote site for maintenance purposes.
The modem dials and tries to negotiate and then drops the call as when normally this is the part when the eRMA login appears. I can access system from a laptop using same line with an XP machine with built in modem or other external modems from other vendors.
Have tried to use AT commands but this modem does not support the No carrier command. It just may be that its not compatible for XRA connections to an OXE or OXO.

The usual setup has been testing with 9600 port speed, data protocol set to Standard EC, Compression Enabled and Flow Control set to None from the terminal end.

Log files from the Modem in device manager shows as follows.
