Hello ALL !
Recently we (in Russia) shifted to winter time (one hour back). Time on switches and OmniVista server (windows 2008) was changed succesfully.
But alarms comes to OmniVista with old time.
So, my question is why it's worng time in OmniVista ?

Hello frank !
Thank you for response.
We use OmniVista for monitoring omniswitches 6850/9000.
All time on switches is displaying correctly and on OmniVista Server as well.
But alarms in OmniVista with old time.
May be it's corresponding to Java application which use OmniVista ?
As I know java should be updated by own patch because java don't depend on time shifting of OS (Win 2008 Server).

Hello frank.
as I also thought, problem was in Java, that must be updated according to new timezone.
I got instruction for this:
We were sent file: tzupdater_1_4_7-2014g.zip (find in attachment)
1. Unpack archive to main disk c:
2. Stop all applications related java
3. Check current version of java:
java -jar c:\tzupdater.jar -V
4. Check tzdata in OmniVista catalogue:
Change dir via CMD to OmniVista catalogue:
cd C:\Program Files\Alcatel OmniVista 2500\jre\bin
java -jar c:\tzupdater.jar -V
5. In case of different timezones to make update (with key -u):
java -jar c:\tzupdater.jar -u
Notes:
1. Take into account that problem related to shifting Russia to winter time (and may be another time shifts in this year).
2. Take into account that you will need another version of tzupdater that should be correspond your current version of Java.
