OmniVista 2500 v4.1.x

Post by dpmp »

Hi @all

Is there a demo licence available for the most recent release of OmniVista 2500 v4.1.x?
In licencing center it is only possible to get a demo licence for 3.5

Many thanks in Advanced!

Best regards

AFAIk the starter (10 Licenses) costs 0.10$ so it should be affordable (but it's slower to get)

The same like devnull has wrote.

But there is also an evaluation licence possible for 60 days with 50 devices.

https://service.esd.alcatel-lucent.com/ ... ce/OV25411

Step 1 - Enter Customer ID and Order Number
Enter the values shown below, then click Next:
· Customer ID - 99999
· Order Number - evaluation

Step 2 - Select the License Type and Quantity
Select the License Type and the number of devices to be managed from the drop-down menu (e.g., Evaluation NM License for 50 devices - EVAL-NM-EX-50-N_1); then enter the Passcode (alcatel), and click Submit Entry.

Step 3 - Complete the License Registration Form
Complete all of the required fields on the License Registration Form and click Submit. A Confirmation E-Mail will be sent to the e-mail address entered.

Step 4 - Download the License Key
After submitting the License Registration form, click OK at the confirmation prompt to download the license key into Notepad.

Can we upgrade it to 4.1.1 with using old license key ?

Hi strelok,
your licence is named 3.5. So you need an upgrade license. upgrade is cheaper than the normal license. But be aware that the new license is counted by all switches - not the managed ip adddresses like in 3.5. So for a stack or VC with 4 switches you need a license for all 4.

VMM is for virtual machines.
For switches you need the core licenses.
