Install analog set using media converter on fibre optic connection

Hi all,

we need to find some device that permit us to install 40 analog phone from the Oxe R12 that are in 6 site connected via fibre optic.
We need some like a master near the pbx and 6 remote device for remote site.

Do you have ever use something like this?

You really want to use ONLY fibre optic and analogue phones? If you have IP connection between sites - you can use any FXO/FXS VoIP gateways.
Or use IP phones.

Hi

Use SIP gateways, IP Touch or even a media gateway at remote sites. It is easier than converting analog to fiber, then fiber to analog again.
You have a powerful system OXE R12, it is ready for for this kind of solution.

thanks, I know that an Oxe R12 with 1 CS and 9 remote GD is the better way to solve this problem but the customer want fiber -> analog connection.

Not clear, customer want:
- central node with many SLI boards - FXO_to_FO_convertor - FO - FO_to_FXS_convertor - analogue phones, or
- central node with IP licences - media_convertor - FO - media_convertor - VoIP_gateway (like AudioCodes) - analogue phones
Exist just FO for telephones? Or exist LAN/WAN connection (and can be used IP phones).

What reason (from customer point of view) for analogue phones using? The best remote device (but with IP connection) - remote shelf with GD.

Hi,

I know this is a customer of energy central system and need all the phone in IP66 protection category so no digital phone and no ip phone from ALE.
I propose 1 CS with 8 remote GD and 1 SLI card in all remote GD.

The request is like this because the customer have a proprietary fiber optic ring in all sites and, I don't know why, don't want SIP phone of third party.
It's a strange customer.
