A user with hearing iaaues

Post by Flava »

Hi All

We have a user who is struggling to hear people on the phone. They work in an open plan office. They do not wear hearing aids and are refusing to go for a hearing test.

Our system is an Omnivista 4400 and we use IP4028 and IP4018 handsets. We have other users who have hearing aids who use a streamer to blue tooth their hearing aids to an IP4068, we can't do that in this case.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Andy

Try to adjust audio level in handset (during conversation, with "+", "-" keys on telephone set). (Specific telephone services, item "Adjust audio gain" must be checked)

Try to increase the level 5 on the "Handset Reception Audio Path" under Alcatel-Lucent 8&9 Series/8&9 Series Sets Audio Parameters. Then make the test setting the audio level on the phone set to 5

Also there are some handset amplifiers on the market. For instance Plantronics HA-40 and Clarity HA-40. But never test. So no warranty

Either increase the system audio level like Sadim said above (you might have to reset the set itself, or the whole system, i don t remember).
Or check on the AAPP web site, they have plenty of solution for hearing impaired people.
