Credit Card Machines

Post by rob b »

Hi guys

I have an issue with a customer and their credit card machines.

The site has a mixture of Crystal and Common hardware.

If I connect a credit card machine to a Z card the machine works fine.

If I connect it to a SLI board it doesn't see the line.

Z port is 42v and SLI is 37v

I can make and receive calls on the port via a normal telephone and a fax machine.

Is there any way of increasing the voltage ?

Because the building is so far away from the Crystal hardware I cant use this , I need it to work on the common hardware.

Thanks in advance

Credit Card machine does not work based on voltages first

I have installed credit card machine in one of my client places where it is connected in SLI16-2

Jummm... Arguable point...what if his equipment needs that full voltage or a plus minus difference but current voltage is much lower than expected?
Your ATM machine guy has confirmed that?
That equipment doesn't have an external power source option?
Why the ringing voltage would interfere in normal operation?

you can increment the voltage of analog boards. Did you try that ?
Also, on your SLI board, try to connect the credit card machine on port 0 (zero) without anything else plugged on the same board, and see if it woks.
