Upgrade from R12.2 up to R12.4

Good morning together,

actually we plan an upgrade to the ALE R12.4 to our OXE. We heard that the device type of the 40xx family maybe have any problems with the new release if that is an 8MB device.

The reason is, that the new firmware needs more than 8 MB.

Does anyone of you already any experience in this case?

I can see that R12.4 still have 40x8 binaries in it..

i don't think that ALE RD has not seen such as issue or pUT a commercial delivry for R12.4 without a fix cuze we can imagine the number of set that will stop running and rolled back to ALE
NO EVEN IF SOME SETS ARE EOL AND NO MORE SOLD BUT ALE GUARANTS THAT THE RUNING ONES STAY RUNIN ? PROOF in set types in user menu we can see ua set V1,V2 & v3 AND 4300 SETS
