Duplication OXE

Hi,

I have an OXE on R10.1 using CPU6 and i need a standby/duplication. The system has numerous GD shelves with free slots and i want to know if it possible to combine a CPu6 and CS2 or i need CPU6 -CPU6/7-2?
My concern is ACTIS requires a new shelf and it gets expensive. I just need to buy a CS-2 and use it as a standby.

Hello,

it is not possible to install a duplication on different types of boards. In your case you need a second CPU6 with the
same software-version.
Which type of shelf is your main-shelf ? ACT14, ACT28, WM1 ?
ACT14: Master CPU is placed in position 6, the other in position 10
ACT28: Master CPU is placed in position 20, the other in position 6
WM1: Master CPU is places in position 1, the other in position 7.

I think for configuration in Actis the slave position should be free (not knowing how Actis works)
