Alcatel 4018EE on Asterisk: interdigit time

Post by HannesR »

Hi all,

We have some alcatel 4018EE phones in sip mode registered on our asterisk pabx, working very well, but some of our people complain about the time they have to dial a number (inter digit time).
On yealink or other sip phones you can adjust that time, but i did not found this setting on the alcatel phone...
At this moment the phone start to dial the number after approx. 2 seconds. Is there any way to adjust this parameter via sipconfig or telnet?

Thanks for your feedback!

Yes, indeed, # starts the dial action, but the problem is if you wait 2 seconds while typing the telephone number the dial action starts.
This means that if people are typing the number too slow the phone starts the dial action with an incomplete number.
