OXE virtualized on VMware

Post by vituccio1981 »

Hi Guys,

I knew that there are many topics on the installation of OXE into the virtual machine.
However, I still wasn't able to complete the installation .

I'm using VMware ver.11.0.0 build-2305329 on windows 7 64 bit.
And I used PC installer 2.24 to install Linux and the call handling software to the virtual machine on it.

Configuration of virtual machine for oxe is following;
OS:Other Linux
Main memory:256MB
Storage:8GB
Network adapter: network connection host-only.

And configuration of PC installer is following;
Call Server type:Blade server.
Call handling version:I tried to install OXER91_I160541.
Installation type:Standard
Network type:Company Network
Network interface: I have selected wirless lan card 1x1 11 b/g/n.
Ip address: automatically put by pc installer
Ethernet address: MAC address of virtual machine

I tried to install R9.1 but all attempts were failed.
It seems that the virtual machine could get IP from host PC.
after the massage of DHCP.....
on the screen i see this error message
PXE-E53: NO BOOT FILENAME RECEIVED
PXE-M0F: EXITING INTEL PXE ROM
OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND

Somebody has some experience on this problem?
Thank you very much.

Please advise.

network interface has to be the vmware hostonly network adapter (as configured in vm)
network type can be direct cable, in case of hostonly.
