I'm a former System Technician from Verizon. Used to work in Special Services before taking a buyout in 2010. Now I'm working part time at the local Community College in the IT department and helping out with the phone stuff (obviously) and am starting to pick up some basic ALU phone administration here. We have a pretty big system, two call processor CPU's, a Genesys call center system, 4760 for management, a CallXpress voicemail system (don't ask) and probably some more stuff I don't even know about yet.
So, for experience - almost 35 years in Telecom and about 18 months working with the Alcatel stuff.
Right now, I'm trying to get some decent training on the system. Is there *anything* good out there for some basic, day to day, care and feeding of a mid to large IP PBX? I'd love to get my hands on something *before* I go to any official training. Any suggestions??
Thanks!
John
