attendant usb keyboard 4059 driver wanted

Post by up0fanboy »

Hello guys,

to make it short: I'm no Alcatel technician but merely a PBX enthusiast, especially keeping nice systems alive.
In detail, I have an attendant console software for a PBX of a different manufacturer that has no dedicated keyboard for it.
But I have an Alcatel attendant keyboard available, labeled "Alcatel 4059 USB Keyboard".
The standard PC keyboard keys work well, but the extra phone keys don't, because the keyboard additionally registers as a USB device which an ordinary Windows installation does not have drivers for it:
USB\VID_06B9&PID_1430&REV_0000

Maybe someone can provide me the driver or whatever it takes to get this keyboard running?

IIRC there were two hardware modifications of keyboard. Which part number is yours?
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Thanks for your response. The part number printed on it is 3AK17154ABJC051339. But meanwhile, an other colleague provided us with the driver package which recognizes the keyboard.
As feared, the driver doesn't seem to interpret the "phone keys" via standard keyboard scancodes which could be evaluated usind standard "read from keyboard"-commands of programming languages. So I guess one should need to somehow reverse engineer the device driver :-/

Quote From TC1930:

Alcatel-Lucent 4059 IP on Windows® 10 64bits
Version 5.5.2 to 4059IP is the first version compatible with Windows 10 64 bits.
Reminder : The 4059MAC can not be installed on Windows10/8/8.1.
The 4059IP migration isn’t possible from W7 to W10 (Windows10 must be re-installed from scratch).
In this version the driver is the signed driver from Microsoft. Hence after installation of the
usbkbdsigned_64 for Win10, the Alcatel Phone keyboard will have the digital signature.
With a signed USBKBD driver we MUST use the new keyboard with the reference:

I am not very sure if me saying this in 2023 is too late, but where can I get the latest driver for this keyboard? I have really not managed to find it anywhere! Any clues?
