REX in tandem configuration in the US

Post by mozi »

Hi,

I have an Ip phone and a REX in Tandem configuration. The System is in the US.
I works fine, but if there is an incomming call, the mobile display shows the number of the PBX an not the calling number.
In Germany we need a Feature called "Clip no Screening" activated by the Provider. This works only with ISDN or Sip Trunks
What Kind Lines ( Trunks) do we need in the US? And is there also the "Clip no Screening" Feature?

Thanks in advance
Mozi

Ask the provider in US or use break out in Germany for REX.

disagree to "break out in germany", because the number which will be used when call goes international is often the network provided number. also it is often not possible to set an international number as userprovided number (depends on the provider in germany).
take a look at call id spoofing (and stay at the right side of law and order).

We all know the rules and we configure our systems with responsibility tgn...
I have just suggested to use the clip no screening with a German provider if this is not offered in US. As long as CLIP no screening is offered as a feature you can use it (of course with responsibility).

@mozi: depends on what providers you already have in Germany, you can test your options.

As a rule of thumb: never use other companies numbers (except for the inbound forwarded to mobile calls).

Custommer in checks if there is a Provider who provide this Feature, or we'll use a sip public trunk.
I will give an update if there is any Information
