Direct Speed Dial No. Prefix confusion

Post by DS_Eire »

Hi,

I am running into a basic configuration issue with speed dialing, I have not worked on the speed dialing configuration before. I am looking to configure remote extension for cellular. During this configuration the documentation asks that I setup a speed dial but I am confused as to what I need to put in the following field: The notes say "This prefix is inserted into the numbering plan" - so does this mean I need to pick a number which is not in my Translator->Prefix Plan or that is in my prefix plan (and if so what Prefix Meaning does it require?) - or am I looking in the wrong area here.

Speed Dialing > Direct Speed Dialing Numbers > Direct SpdDI No. Pref.
Direct Speed Dial No. Prefix : --------

I get errors like following when trying to save the configuration
Processing Failure
OBJECT -1: Direct Speed Dial No. Prefix: MCDU already exists

Direct Speed Dial No. Prefix: Invalid Attrib. Value

Where and what do I need to configure before I can populate this field?

Thanks

You need a free number from your numbering plan. After creating a direct speed dial you can call the speed dial number direct with the configured prefix

Hi there,

We have exactly the same issue this evening.
We tried to configured direct speed dial No. and it doesn't work.
We have enough index.
We know how to do it.
something strange, if we only inform the prefix and the number : IT WORKS
if we put the prefix and the number, the name and the surname : IT DOESN'T WORK

Crazy, isn't it!

Please HELP,
