Speed dial name appearance on incoming call

Post by torrentula »

I have an OXE R7.0 connected via PRI link to an old ROLM system. We have calling number working fine, but they want to see the user name when someone from the ROLM calls the OXE.

I thought I could create speed dials of the ROLM users extensions and the OXE would match the dialing extension to the speed dial and display the phone book name but it didn't work...

Is this possible? What am I missing here?

Thanks!

You can use speed dial for name but you need to check:
1) calling number must begin from prefix exist in ext. callback translation (digits to add);
2) digits after prefix= what you see on set display (number in common not really recieved but after callback translation).
And can you show incoming trace (with t3 command).

Thanks for the input. I am only getting the extension number, no prefix information is being received so I will make some additions to the ext callback and see what happens.

Thanks!

Hi for all,

In my case is working normally the "external call name presentation" using speed dial. Anyone knows if is possible to show this name in unanswered calls list? I did some tests here and the name is presented when the call is incoming, but if the user doesn't answer the call, the message in unanswered calls list contains only the number of the calling party.
