Disable UTF8

Hi,

one of our customer has used the UTF8-Directory-Name as a info-field for the extension (he entered the room-number in this field). It was always OK because there where only 4035 sets in use. But last week we installed a few 4038 sets. And now the UTF8-Names are displayed at the 4038 sets.
Can we disable the UTF8-Function in the whole system or do we have to delete the UTF8-Names?
