USER_USER in SIP Trunks

Post by joaoj »

I do not know if my question should be in 'trunk groups' section, but it's basically the following.
Via ISDN trunks it is possible to send user data, for example using the 'call tag' parameter in CCS.

In the following example (T3 trace) to PSTN I use the string "ALCATEL_UNLEASHED".

______________________________________________________________________________
| (260967:000002) 1624: Send_IO1 (link-nbr=1, sapi=0, tei=0) :
| long: 76 desti: 0 source: 15 cryst: 1 cpl: 7 us: 8 term: 0 type a5
| tei: 0 <<<< message sent : SETUP [05] Call ref : 53 27
|______________________________________________________________________________
|
| IE:[04] BEARER_CAPABILITY (l=3) 80 90 a3
| IE:[18] CHANNEL (l=3) a9 83 98 -> T2 : B channel 24 exclusive
| IE:[6c] CALLING_NUMBER (l=2) -> 00 a1 Num :
| IE:[70] CALLED_NUMBER (l=8) -> 81 Num : 199991
| IE:[7d] HLC (l=2) 91 81
| IE:[7e] USER_USER (l=27) 00 45 : CSTA
| [80] Correlator Data (l=19):
| 15 c0 41 4c 43 41 54 45 4c 5f 55 4e 4c 45 41 53 : '..ALCATEL_UNLEAS'
| 48 45 44 : 'HED'
| [47] Unknown type (l=255)
| [a1] Sending complete
|______________________________________________________________________________

But I cannot send this info if it is a SIP Trunk. Has anyone ever been able to send this information by sip trunk?
I have tested in several ways using asterisk's with OXE r10.

Both trunks (ISDN and SIP) have UUS in setup = true.

It is possible from Release 11.1 only.
You have a new parameter in SIP/SIP External Gateway/CSTA User-to-User supported=True.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Returning to this subject, I already have access to version R11.1-l1.301, but I cannot send the user-to-user info in the sip header.
I've done a lot of testing and I do not see a way to put this to work. The 'CSTA User-to-User supported' parameter seems to do nothing.
Anyone been able to put this information in the SIP header? If yes, can someone post the configuration used?
Thanks

Sorry did not mentioned it - Correlator data in UUS only supported in OTCS environment.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
