X25 through OV 4760

Post by mustafa.ahmad »

Hi,

I want to use the billing application OV 4760 through Tunnelling X25, for the other node.
I have tried to modify the Connectivity tab in the node ( PCX ) itself, but of no result.

I can use the application if i give the LAN address, but not when i give X25 IP Address.

Hi Mustafa,

did you declare your first node as gateway link when you set the 2nd node in the system directory?
You also need to create a static route (using netadmin) in the 2nd node to be able to join the first one through IP/X25 tunnel.

Hi,

1st you have to declare node 1 on your Omnivista 4760: (main parameters)
node number: (ABC network number * 100 + node number): in your case, 1
IP address: Main IP address: 10.253.1.3
Connection Type: LAN

Next you have to declare your Node 2 on your Omnivista 4760: (main parameters)
node number: (ABC network number * 100 + node number): in your case, 2
IP address: PBX IP/X25 address: 172.30.253.2
Connection Type: IP/X25
Gateway link : Node 1 (To select a PBX as gateway:
- Click two times on the “Gateway link” field (A button appears on the right)
- Click on the button (A new window “Edit DN” is displayed)
- Search “OmniPCX Enterprise” in” Nmc” and validate the search the list of registered PBX is displayed

and create static route on Node 2:
netadmin –m
Routing
Static route
Add/update
Destination type ? h
Destination IP address: 10.253.1.10
Gateway IP address: 172.30.1.1.

every thing is said by CR0673 ESPECIAL the static route to let node 2 replay to ov request.
node 2 is supporting accounting (license)?
you should also configue the accounting tyep parameter on the ov ; and node 2 you should activate accounting under appliaction

you write gw 172.30.1.1 is it ok or 172.30.253.1 confirm pls thanks
and your define procedure i m exactly using like that.
when syn. node 2 error display = ip/x25 connection failure wrong ip connection with pcx
my complete ip addressing
pc = 10.253.1.10 netmask=255.0.0.0
node1 = 10.253.1.3 netmask=255.0.0.0
tunnel = 172.30.253.1 netmask=255.255.0.0
static route =10.253.2.0 subnet=255.0.0.0 gateway=172.30.253.2

node2 =10.253.2.3 netmask=255.0.0.0
tunnel =172.30.253.2 netmask=255.255.0.0
static route =10.253.1.0 subnet=255.0.0.0 gateway=172.30.253.1

i think these perameters help you to solve my query

Hi,

you're right. I made a mistake. The correct configuration is:
netadmin –m
Routing
Static route
Add/update
Destination type ? h
Destination IP address: 10.253.1.10
Gateway IP address: 172.30.253.1

In the static route configuration, try to put the subnetmask like this: 255.255.255.0
