Hi Experts,
I have an OXE, installation is hotel and management mode is Room...
Problem is, When I check-in an extension using hotmenu, it gets checked-in but it generates a random personal code and after checking-in dial tone change to a strange 3 beeps... i can call internal extensions and to call external no. I need to dial personal code after trunk access prefix.
I havent assigned any Thank You message under Hotel
Room Personal code is No
Personal Code under check in is False
PBX was restarted as well but issue remains..
It is OXE 11.2.1 on CS2
Any tips or ideas???

Re: Hotel Extension Dial Tone
Applications/ Hotel - Management services, item Set Locking (YES : at check-in, the station is locked. In this case, the station can be accessed by using a confidential password (See secret code attribute in USER ).)?

What the problem with dial tone? 3 beeps? This beep just indicate about feature (lock). You will have beeps (or VG) when you order - forward, padlock, DND...
Re: Hotel Extension Dial Tone
Yes i understand when you activate feature it gives 3 beeps but here on a check-in extension, whenever i lift handset instead of normal continuous dialtone i am getting 3 beeps and then silence and then again 3 beeps... i can dial internal extensions and i can dial external using personal code as well but dial tone is not normal like it should bevad wrote:What the problem with dial tone? 3 beeps? Re: Hotel Extension Dial Tone
Dial padlock prefix (unlock set) - you will have normal dial tone and external calls without personal code.
Re: Hotel Extension Dial Tone
I'll try that... we do not want personal code...once extension is checked in, it should be available for calling without any codevad wrote:Dial padlock prefix (unlock set) - you will have normal dial tone and external calls without personal code.

Re: Hotel Extension Dial Tone
This point was the issue... after changing it to False, it started working fine and doesn't require any personal code... so just for informing any one else who is facing this problem, following parameter must be set to ensure that rooms are checked-in without any personal code:
MGR > Application > Hotel > Review / Modify > All instances>
Under Check-in Features> Personal Code: False
Under Management Services > Set Locking: False and Room Personal Code: No
