Is there anyone out there knowing if it is possible to deactivate the name field in the SIP-herder so that the OXE only sends the number over the SIP-trunk to for example LYNC.
The SIP-heder looks like this:
FROM:"USER 616"<sip:616@10.10.10.1;user=phone>;tag=7c285875754e93c17ea4c34eadc04919
I like it to be:
FROM:<sip:616@10.10.10.1;user=phone>;tag=7c285875754e93c17ea4c34eadc04919
Or can I modify the "name-tag" information in anyway from the OXE side?

By changing external gateway properties. Try different settings. Of course, old oxe versions are not that flexible. R11 has many options

Re: Do not display name in SIP-herder
what a fine question, I have the same issue with a carrier. in my case what happens is that the call is sent "firstname lastname"<sip:ddi,,,,,,,
the carrier takes firstname and replaces it with DDI and then takes lastname and replaces it with DDI. this means when the call is sent to another customer on the same carrier they get the name displayed as the DDI twice.
I asked unofficially with Alcatel and was told I could not stop the name being sent. I didn't bother to log an e-sr but
It will be interesting if someone has a fix.

Re: Do not display name in SIP-herder
Really? While I was doing an integration with a SIP pbx saw that configuration and was interesting. I was messing with the parameters of the external gateway... Don't remember which ones only
But was on R11. Many options to play with

Re: Do not display name in SIP-herder
Ok, so now I have gone thru all the parameters in the External Gateways on my R11 release, and none of them made any impact on this matter when trying them out. The only parameter that I found that could have something to do with this is the “Registration id”. How to you use this parameter, anyone know?
Re: Do not display name in SIP-herder
so Cav your challenge this week is to find/remember how to stop it
my system was 11.0.1 if that helps

Re: Do not display name in SIP-herder
If I was not on holidays would connect and check it but gf will not appreciate that lol
Will test later and let you know, but was not a single one, was as said, a combination of them
You can check the oxe R11 parameters description on docs and there is a doc with only sip options detailed on BPWS too
