NEC sip dects on alcatel oxe problem

Post by Timmie »

hello,

my company has a strange problem with NEC SIP dects on alcatel.

first the situation.
we used to use alcatel dects.. but we want to change over to NEC dects.
so we added the NEC senders to the network. together with their DAP server.

then we deleted an old dect user, and created him again as a SIP extension.
now comes te strange part.

if you create a SIP user we have to fill in the URL domain.

I can put a wrong URL address i here ( the dap server itself )
in this case, you can call from NEC dect to NEC dect. but not to an internal or external line <- this is normal.

if we put the ip address from the alcatel oxe in it <- as it should be
we can call
-internall from NEC dect to alcatel phone.
-from NEC dect to external

we can not call
from internal to NEC dect.
from NEC dect to NEC dect.

if we call from internal to NEC dect, you get a busy signal.
if we call from nec dect to NEC dect, the phone rings 1 time in your ear and then goes busy. wich is called does not ring.
it looks to me that the alcatel gets the request to call the NEC dect, but doesnt know where to find it again.
all sip extension are registered on the alcatel....

anybody has an idea what this can be ?

Have you resolved this issue?
I am interested in the outcome as I have a customer who has a NEC IP-Dect solution and I need to get it working with the OXE. I have the ALU interworking report but it's not really clear as to what needs to be done to get it working.

Thanks
We don't see things the way they are; we see things the way we are!
