Cisco IP Phone 8941 as an OXE SIP Extension

Post by moulis »

Hello,
Does anybody have an experience with this new Cisco IP Phone 8941 (or 8900 Series) to work as an OXE SIP Extension?
Thank you very much.

First of all, except for some Thomson's models certified with ALU all other SIP-hardphones supposed to be configured as SIP device.

Frank,

I understand you have done this. Would request you to help with the configuration details from both of the ends(Cisco Phone and OXE).

Thanks in advance.

OXE would be to enable sip and have licenses of course. To enable sip just follow documentation. Quite simple.
On Cisco side use OXE as registrar and create a SIP device on OXE to use it as user on Cisco.
What is not working for you.

So...we are more familiar with Alcatel. Easier for you would be to search on the Internet for a Cisco doc on how to configure those phones. Cisco has a lot of info around
