Recover password for Ip Phones

Post by aponterules »

I have encryption working with the customer, but they don´t remember the password used for the phones, the one that is under

Encryption// Alcatel 8&9 series / IP Touch sets generic parameters
Review/Modify
Noe password : *
Confirm : *

So, I was wondering if it is possible to know that password

And if not possible, what would I need to do in order to set the new password, Do I need to reboot OXE and Thales boxes? or the new password would be sent to the phones without a reboot?

Why not enter a new one and reset the phone?

Whhen phone is connected to a @CPU with encryption, it downloads the key, if you take the phone to the other site, with different key, then you need to go with a 'factory default' config. Anyway: it's documented in TC (and docs/training for security iirc).
Please note that at no time I will provide you with OXE/4400 nor AOS releases.
Note that it's our private time, that we spent to help you, so please don't expect complete solution for your problem.
You will need to do homework by your self.
